The category problem
Cashback and affiliate search in India is a war of attrition. Every major player — CashKaro, GoPaisa, Coupondunia — is targeting the same terms, with similar content, for the same queries. The only way to win is to build content that deserves to rank more than anyone else’s.
Site audit: what was holding traffic back
1,000+ thin pages were actively diluting the site’s authority. Pages that existed only to exist — affiliate links with no real content, duplicate coupon pages, product lists with no intent match. We removed them. Traffic went up, not down.
Architecture and E-E-A-T overhaul
Category pages rebuilt around user intent. Content depth increased across the highest-value affiliate verticals — fashion, electronics, travel. Trust signals added throughout: brand contexts, savings evidence, real editorial voice.
200K to 453K in 8 months
Organic visits grew 2.26x in eight months. More importantly, affiliate revenue doubled — because the traffic that grew was revenue-intent traffic. Removing the noise let the signal rank.
The same thinking now drives my work as Aman Jha, AI SEO consultant, for brands that want search to be a revenue channel, not a cost centre.
